Christmas Party and Awards Evening The St Ives and Huntingdon clubs held their annual Christmas party on Monday 12th December at Ibrahims restaurant in Peterborough. This year the invite was extended to other clubs across the Cambridgeshire region and so it was good to see more faces at the event. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious, some taking full advantage of the all you can eat buffet. The evening also doubled up as an awards evening. Local Martial Arts Instructors Receive top honours Master Mujahid Khan and Kru Shaun Boland both received letters on the same day informing them that they were being inducted into the Combat & Fighters magazines Hall of Fame. The ceremony took place on Saturday 26th November in the prestigious Holte suite which is at the Aston Villa Football ground in Birmingham. Over 500 guests from around the World attended which included some of the Worlds greatest Martial artists and stars of the Silver Screen. Master Khan received his Hall of Fame award in recognition for his dedication to the Martial Arts in the UK and around the World. Due to work commitment in Scotland Master Khan could not be at the ceremony to receive his award personally. Kru Shaun Boland received his Hall of Fame award in recognition of his creative input and support to the progress of Martial Arts around the world.

Speaking about the awards, 12th grade Thai Boxing instructor Kru Shaun said, “This was a very humbling experience to be given this prestigious award in front of my peers and the many masters of Martial Arts who were present; I dedicated my award to my students who help me to grow in my art everyday.” 6th Dan Tang Soo Do Master Khan said “This is a great honour for both of us and our respective styles of Tang Soo Do and Muay Thai and shows unity in the Martial art locally, I am very proud to receive this award on behalf of my family and students.”
